BACK TO SCHOOL!
"To encourage students, levels kindergarten-twelfth grade, to reach his/her full academic potential while enhancing his/her personal growth to its fullest."
"North New Summit School will become the leader in Mississippi for providing exceptional and innovative educational services for students with diverse learning styles."
It is hard to believe it is almost August! The summer has really passed by quickly. This summer has been filled with many educational enhancements for North New Summit School. With the new 2016-2017 school year fast approaching, the administration and staff have been busy establishing goals and objectives for the upcoming school year. We have been able to add new textbooks and curriculums to our junior high and high school. We have added new computers and new on-line classes for all of our students and have been able to add new resources for our resource center in order to reach all of our students’ individual needs. This focus has been a part of a vision to continue the high quality educational experiences we provide for children.
We look forward to seeing your child on Monday, August 8 for orientation. Monday, August 8 will be a half day orientation day. School will dismiss at 11:30 on Monday, August 8 and no lunches will be served on this day. Tuesday, August 9 will be our first full day. There will be a lunch menu sent home with the students within the first week of school; we also have microwaves and refrigerators for your child’s use.
It is our desire for our staff and students to always project a positive image and represent North New Summit School with pride. Therefore, we still require our students to wear their North New Summit shirts. The shirts are purchased at Parker Uniforms, but your khaki pants or shorts can still be purchased from any vendor as long as they follow school code.
Our faculty and staff is one of the most dedicated faculties that you will find and we look forward to having them return in August. We are also very excited to announce our new staff members for the 2016-2017 school year. Although, Mr. Keith Davis is not a new employee he will be moving to a new position as assistant principal as well as continuing as a science instructor. We are very excited to have him come on board as one of North New Summit’s administrators. We have also added Mrs. Freda McIntosh as a junior high and high school teacher. We are very excited to have her join our North New Summit family. Our new instructors are certified teachers with previous teaching experience and all will be a great asset to our school! We look forward to welcoming them to our staff.
We are anticipating a great year at North New Summit! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
